The Haughton Buccaneers football team (Haughton, LA), was tipped 17-14 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Parkway Panthers (Bossier City, LA)

The Panthers (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Captain Shreve (Shreveport, LA). The Gators come into the 5A District 1 challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Captain Shreve was tipped by Byrd (Shreveport, LA), 25-20, in a league challenge.

The Buccaneers now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Southwood for a 5A District 1 challenge on Friday, September 30. Haughton will meet a Cowboys team coming off a 27-0 league loss to Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA). The Cowboys record now stands at 2-2.
