The New Covenant Gryphons volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Virginia Episcopal School Bishops to 0 in the Gryphons league victory on Friday.

The Gryphons now have a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eastern Mennonite for a VISAA Blue Ridge game on Monday, September 26. New Covenant will meet a Flames team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Mt. Carmel Christian Academy (Luray, VA). The Flames record now stands at 4-5.

The Bishops (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA). The Celtics enter the VISAA Blue Ridge game with a 5-9 record. In their last game, Roanoke Catholic Carlisle (Axton, VA), 0-0, in a league game.
