The Rich Township Raptors held off the visiting Thornwood Thunderbirds volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Raptors now have a 7-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thornton Fractional North for a non-league test on Saturday, September 23. Rich Township will confront a Meteors team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL). The Meteors record now stands at 7-9.

The Thunderbirds (2-15) will now prepare for their test against Simeon (Chicago, IL). The Wolverines enter the non-league test with a 1-7 record. In their last test, Simeon was nudged by Curie (Chicago, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
