Maine High School Soccer - Penobscot Christian toppled by Islesboro Central
September 23, 2025: Islesboro, ME 04848 Islesboro Central Eagles (Islesboro, ME) boosters exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Penobscot Christian (Bangor, ME), 8-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Islesboro Central moves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Eagles host Valley (Bingham, ME) to clash with the Cavaliers in a non-league test on Thursday, September 25. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 6-0. Valley won 4-0 in their recent league outing against Carrabec (North Anson, ME)
Next up, the confront the Calais Blue Devils (Calais, ME) in a non-league outing, on Monday, September 29. Penobscot Christian will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Blue Devils go into the outing with a 4-1 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME).
