The Milford Mavericks football squad scored 18 points and restricted the visiting Walled Lake Western Warriors to 15 in the Mavericks league victory on Friday.

The Mavericks now possess a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mott for a Lakes Valley battle on Friday, October 1. Milford will play a Corsairs squad coming off a 42-20 league win over Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI). The Corsairs record now stands at 4-1.

Coming up next, the Warriors encounter the Ferndale Eagles (Ferndale, MI) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 1. Walled Lake Western will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 0-5 record after their 21-0 league loss to Avondale (Auburn Hills, MI).
