The Phillips Exeter Academy Lions (Exeter, NH) football nudged the host Taft School Big Red (Watertown, CT), 18-15 in Saturday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Lions face the Lawrenceville School Big Red (Lawrenceville, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, October 1. Phillips Exeter Academy will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Big Red enter the bout with a 2-1 record after their 37-0 non-league loss to Choate Rosemary Hall School (Wallingford, CT).
