September 24, 2024: Carterville, IL 62918 Carterville Lions (Carterville, IL) boosters exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the visiting Murphysboro Red Devils (Murphysboro, IL), 5-1 in a league test.
With the triumph, Carterville moves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Massac County (Metropolis, IL) to battle the Patriots in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio battle on Thursday, September 26. The Patriots enter the battle with a record of 9-3. Massac County won 9-0 in their recent league battle against Pinckneyville (Pinckneyville, IL)
