Virginia High School Volleyball - Grayson County over George Wythe
September 24, 2024: Independence, VA 24348 Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) and the visiting George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA), observed Grayson County's volleyball team top George Wythe by a count of 3-1.
The Blue Devils (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Galax (Galax, VA). The Maroon Tide enter the Mountain Empire contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Galax was knocked off by Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA), 3-0, in a league contest.
Next, the Maroons battle the Graham G-Men (Bluefield, VA) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, September 25. George Wythe will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The G-Men enter the contest with a 3-6 record after their 3-1 league win over Tazewell (Tazewell, VA).
