September 24, 2024: Walnut Ridge, AR 72476 The Newport Greyhounds tipped the host Walnut Ridge Bobcats volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league game.
Next up, the Greyhounds confront the Central Cougars (West Helena, AR) in a 3A 3 game, on Thursday, September 26. Newport will attempt to advance on its 3-9 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 0-8 record after their 3-0 league loss to Hoxie (Hoxie, AR).
The Bobcats (5-6) will now prepare for their game against Hoxie (Hoxie, AR). The Mustangs enter the 3A 3 game with a 3-10 record. In their last game, Hoxie held off Central (West Helena, AR), 3-0, in a league game.
