Oak Glen Golden Bears (New Cumberland, WV) backers were pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights (Wheeling, WV), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Golden Bears (17-7) will now prepare for their challenge against The Linsly School (Wheeling, WV). The Cadets come into the non-league challenge with a 14-4 record.

Next, the Maroon Knights play the Weir Red Riders (Weirton, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 25. Wheeling Central Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Red Riders go into the game with a 3-11 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Catholic Central (Steubenville, OH).
