New York High School Soccer - Ithaca nudges Corning-Painted Post
September 25, 2024: Ithaca, NY 14850 In Wednesday's league outing, the host Ithaca Little Red soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Corning-Painted Post Hawks.
The Little Red (6-1) will now prepare for their outing against Vestal (Vestal, NY). The Golden Bears enter the Southern Tier Athletic Conference (STAC) outing with a 1-2 record. In their last outing, Vestal was edged by Maine-Endwell (Endwell, NY), 2-1, in a league outing.
Next up, the Hawks confront the Ossining Pride (Ossining, NY) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, September 28. Corning-Painted Post will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Pride enter the outing with a 3-1 record after their 2-0 league loss to Fox Lane (Bedford, NY).
