The New Madrid County Central Eagles volleyball squad (New Madrid, MO), was defeated 3-0 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Holcomb Hornets (Holcomb, MO)

With the win, Holcomb improves its record to 5-3 on the season. The Hornets travel to North Pemiscot (Wardell, MO) to encounter the Mustangs in a Class 1 District 1 challenge on Thursday, October 2. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 10-5.
