In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Utica Chieftains volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Sterling Heights Stevenson Titans.

The Chieftains (10-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Port Huron Northern (Port Huron, MI). The Huskies come into the non-league test with a 14-6 record. In their last test, Port Huron Northern gained a win over Lakeview (St. Clair Shores, MI), 3-0, in a league test.

The Titans now sport a 1-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Croswell-Lexington for a non-league test on Thursday, September 25. Sterling Heights Stevenson will face a Pioneers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Imlay City (Imlay City, MI). The Pioneers record now stands at 10-14.
