The Mars Fightin' Planets smashed the host Armstrong River Hawks soccer squad by a margin of 5-1 in Tuesday's league match.

The Fightin' Planets now sport a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Knoch for a non-league match on Wednesday, September 27. Mars will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Freeport (Freeport, PA). The Knights record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Armstrong drops to 5-6 on the season. The River hawks travel to Indiana (Indiana, PA) to encounter the Little Indians in a WPIAL AAA 1 match on Thursday, September 28.
