Dripping Springs Tigers (Dripping Springs, TX) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Akins Eagles (Austin, TX), 63-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Dripping Springs advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Tigers host Austin (Austin, TX) to play the Maroons in a 6A Region IV District 26 battle on Friday, October 4. The Maroons go into the battle with a record of 3-2. Austin won 23-6 in their recent league battle against Del Valle (Del Valle, TX)

The Eagles now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Westlake for a 6A Region IV District 26 battle on Thursday, October 3. Akins will play a Chaparrals team coming off a 41-16 non-league win over Steele (Cibolo, TX). The Chaparrals record now stands at 3-1.
