Pennsylvania High School Football - Armstrong sneaks past Gateway

September 26, 2025: Monroeville, PA 15146

The Armstrong River Hawks football squad scored 29 points and limited the host Gateway Gators to 28 in the River Hawks league triumph on Friday.

The River Hawks now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Woodland Hills for a WPIAL AAAAA Big East challenge on Friday, October 3. Armstrong will face a Wolverines team coming off a 33-9 league win over Greater Latrobe (Latrobe, PA). The Wolverines record now stands at 4-2.

The Gators (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA). The Warriors enter the WPIAL AAAAA Big East game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Penn-Trafford held off Plum (Pittsburgh, PA), 33-14, in a non-league game.
