New York High School Football - New Dorp tops DeWitt Clinton
September 26, 2025: Staten Island, NY 10306 The New Dorp Central Cougars football squad scored 38 points and limited the visiting DeWitt Clinton Governors to 20 in the Central Cougars league win on Friday.
In their next game, the Central Cougars face the Curtis Warriors (Staten Island, NY) in a PSAL 4A challenge, on Friday, October 3. New Dorp will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Warriors go into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 41-7 league win over Port Richmond (Staten Island, NY).
The Governors (0-3) will now prepare for their test against Lincoln (Brooklyn, NY). The Railsplitters come into the PSAL 4A test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Lincoln topped Brooklyn Technical (Brooklyn, NY), 34-0, in a league test.
