Winthrop Ramblers (Winthrop, ME) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME), 26-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Winthrop advances its record to 4-0 on the season. The Ramblers host Morse (Bath, ME) to confront the Shipbuilders in a D South match on Thursday, October 2. The Shipbuilders come into the match with a record of 2-2. Morse won 22-18 in their recent league battle against Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME)

The Cougars now have a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Madison for a non-league battle on Friday, October 3. Dirigo will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 21-14 league win over Maranacook (Readfield, ME). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-1.
