Fairmont Heights Hornets (Capitol Heights, MD) boosters were content Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Friendly Patriots (Fort Washington, MD), 28-12 in a league battle.

With the win, Fairmont Heights improves its record to 2-2 on the season. The Hornets host Largo (Upper Marlboro, MD) to play the Lions in a Class 2A East battle on Friday, October 3. The Lions go into the battle with a record of 1-3. Largo lost 33-28 in their recent league battle against Gwynn Park (Brandywine, MD)

The Patriots now have a 0-4 record. They play next when they host Crossland for a non-league battle on Friday, October 3. Friendly will play a Cavaliers team coming off a 30-0 league loss to Douglass (Upper Marlboro, MD). The Cavaliers record now stands at 1-3.
