North Carolina High School Football - West Charlotte defeats Mallard Creek

September 26, 2025: Charlotte, NC 28269

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC) and the host Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC), witnessed West Charlotte's football squad topple Mallard Creek by a count of 32-9.

The Lions (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Independence (Charlotte, NC). The Patriots enter the Meck Power Six 7A/8A contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Independence overcame Palisades (Charlotte, NC), 27-20, in a non-league bout.

The Mavericks now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they host North Mecklenburg for a Meck Power Six 7A/8A bout on Friday, October 3. Mallard Creek will encounter a Vikings team coming off a 17-10 non-league win over Hopewell (Huntersville, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 3-2.
