In Friday's league game, the Saline Hornets (Saline, MI) football team triumphed over the host Monroe Trojans (Monroe, MI), by a tally of 42-0.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Huron River Rats (Ann Arbor, MI) in a Southeastern - Red game, on Friday, October 3. Saline will attempt to better on its 5-0 season record. The River Rats enter the game with a 3-2 record after their 21-14 league win over Pioneer (Ann Arbor, MI).
