In Friday's league game, the Monsignor Farrell Lions (Staten Island, NY) football team edged the host St. Anthony's Friars (Melville, NY), by a tally of 21-20.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Fordham Prep Rams (Bronx, NY) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 3. Monsignor Farrell will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Rams enter the game with a 1-3 record after their 24-14 league loss to St. Francis Prep (Fresh Meadows, NY).
