California High School Football - Oceanside thwarted by Mount Miguel
September 26, 2025: Oceanside, CA 92054 Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Oceanside Pirates (Oceanside, CA), 26-12 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Mount Miguel upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Matadors host Helix (La Mesa, CA) to meet the Highlanders in a test on Friday, October 3. The Highlanders come into the test with a record of 3-2. Helix lost 42-21 in their recent non-league test against Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA)
With the defeat, Oceanside moves to 0-5 on the season. The Pirates host San Marcos (San Marcos, CA) to play the Knights in a non-league challenge on Friday, October 3. The Knights go into the challenge with a record of 5-0. San Marcos won 56-14 in their recent non-league challenge against San Pasqual (Escondido, CA)
