Fans at Friday's league contest between the Heritage Patriots (Menifee, CA) and the visiting Rancho Verde Mustangs (Moreno Valley, CA), observed Heritage's volleyball team hold off Rancho Verde by a count of 3-2.

The Patriots (9-10) will now prepare for their battle against Orange Vista (Perris, CA). The Coyotes go into the Sunbelt battle with a 9-15 record. In their last battle, Orange Vista was edged by Hemet (Hemet, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Mustangs now own a 14-11 record. They take the field next when they host Valley View for a Sunbelt challenge on Wednesday, October 1.
