Match Summary
We have maintained all season that if one of our left sides is not playing well we are in trouble. One of our left sides struggled hitting the ball. But man alive, this team has grit. We do not block well (one solo in this match), have a middle we never set, a left side struggling to score (14-14/56), 3 primary passers below 1.60 for the match, the usual abundance of ball handling errors, four of them, a second set in which we only had 2 (yes, two!!) kills, a badly managed missed call by R1, and 2 really poorly timed service errors. Yet we won the 3rd set and should have, could have, would have won the 4th. How? Our base defense was outstanding with 64 digs. That is working. G. Ayres got hot and was blistering the ball in the 3rd and 4th sets. We served to zone (52-5/73= .643) often leading to Tri-County being out of system. Lastly, M. Pontigo was really good.
