September 27, 2024: Waukee, IA 50263 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Johnston Dragons (Johnston, IA) and the host Waukee Warriors (Waukee, IA), witnessed Johnston's football squad topple Waukee by a count of 21-7.
The Dragons (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA). The Rams enter the 5A Group 2 contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Southeast Polk thwarted Sioux City East (Sioux City, IA), 48-3, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Warriors confront the Lincoln Railsplitters (Des Moines, IA) in a 5A Group 2 contest, on Thursday, October 3. Waukee will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Railsplitters enter the contest with a 1-4 record after their 41-7 league loss to Lincoln (Council Bluffs, IA).
