September 27, 2024: St. Ansgar, IA 50472 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the St. Ansgar Saints (St. Ansgar, IA) and the visiting Nashua-Plainfield Huskies (Nashua, IA), witnessed St. Ansgar's football squad knock off Nashua-Plainfield by a tally of 27-7.
The Saints (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Newman Catholic (Mason City, IA). The Knights enter the A District 2 contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Newman Catholic gained a win over Belmond-Klemme (Belmond, IA), 30-25, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Huskies battle the South Winneshiek Warriors (Calmar, IA) in a A District 3 contest, on Friday, October 4. Nashua-Plainfield will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 2-3 record after their 42-7 league win over AGWSR (Ackley, IA).
