Texas High School Football - Weslaco winner over San Benito

September 27, 2024: Weslaco, TX 78596

The Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX) football knocked off the visiting San Benito Greyhounds (San Benito, TX), 28-14 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Panthers now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Joya for a 6A Region IV District 31 outing on Thursday, October 10. Weslaco will clash with a Coyotes squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Hanna (Brownsville, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 0-5.

With the defeat, San Benito drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Carthage (Carthage, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Friday, October 4. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 3-1. Carthage won 58-14 in their recent non-league outing against Jasper (Jasper, TX)
