In Friday's league game, the West Anchorage Eagles (Anchorage, AK) football team overcame the host Service Cougars (Anchorage, AK), by a tally of 28-7.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Bartlett Golden Bears (Anchorage, AK) in a Cook Inlet game, on Saturday, October 5. West Anchorage will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Golden Bears enter the game with a 5-2 record after their 34-20 league win over Juneau-Douglas (Juneau, AK).

The Cougars (3-4) will now prepare for their game against Dimond (Anchorage, AK). The Lynx enter the Cook Inlet game with a 7-0 record. In their last game, Dimond notched a victory over Bettye Davis East Anchorage (Anchorage, AK), 35-12, in a league game.
