With the victory, Newport upgrades its record to 7-7 on the year. The Greyhounds travel to Dyer County (Newbern, TN) to face the Choctaws in a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. The Choctaws go into the test with a record of 24-7. Dyer County won 3-0 in their recent league test against South Gibson (Medina, TN)
The Greyhounds now own a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bergman for a 3A 2 test on Tuesday, September 30.
