September 28, 2025: Mountain View, CA 94040 Saint Francis Lancers (Mountain View, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Sunday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA), 3-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Saint Francis improves its record to 12-7 on the season. The Lancers travel to Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory (San Francisco, CA) to meet the Fightin' Irish in a West Catholic challenge on Tuesday, September 30. The Fightin' Irish come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory lost 3-1 in their recent league challenge against Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, CA)
Next, the Royals meet the Dos Pueblos Chargers (Goleta, CA) in a Channel challenge, on Tuesday, September 30. San Marcos will attempt to advance on its 18-3 season record. The Chargers go into the game with a 4-18 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Bishop Diego (Santa Barbara, CA).
