Virginia High School Football - West Potomac topples Fairfax
September 28, 2023: Fairfax, VA 22030 The West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA) football defeated the host Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA), 35-20 in Thursday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Wolverines face the Oakton Cougars (Vienna, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 5. West Potomac will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 0-3 record after their 21-0 non-league loss to Centreville (Clifton, VA).
The Lions (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against Woodson (Fairfax, VA). The Cavaliers enter the non-league bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, Woodson lost by Lake Braddock (Burke, VA), 21-6, in a non-league bout.
