In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Connersville Spartans volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Monroe Central Golden Bears.

The Spartans (12-14) will now prepare for their battle against Waldron (Waldron, IN). The Mohawks come into the non-league battle with a 4-11 record. In their last battle, Waldron was edged by Greenfield-Central (Greenfield, IN), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
