The Pirates (8-18) will now prepare for their challenge against Central (Florence, AL). The Wildcats enter the 4A Area 14 challenge with a 34-7 record. In their last challenge, Central nipped Ardmore (Ardmore, AL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Eagles encounter the Shoals Christian Flame (Florence, AL) in a 1A Area 16 challenge, on Tuesday, October 3. Covenant Christian will attempt to move on its 15-13 season record. The Flame enter the challenge with a 17-3 record after their 25-15 league win over Cherokee (Cherokee, AL).
