In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Mallard Creek Mavericks volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the North Mecklenburg Vikings.

The Mavericks (11-8) will now prepare for their battle against Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 16-5 record. In their last battle, Ardrey Kell achieved victory over Berry (Charlotte, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.
