In Thursday's league contest, the New Berlin Pretzels (New Berlin, IL) volleyball squad edged the visiting Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Pretzels battle the West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars (Winchester, IL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, October 2. New Berlin will attempt to better on its 11-7 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 7-14 record after their 2-1 league loss to Routt Catholic (Jacksonville, IL).

With the loss, Riverton drops to 5-7 on the campaign. The Hawks host Taylorville (Taylorville, IL) to battle the Tornadoes in a non-league contest on Friday, September 29.
