Mississippi High School Volleyball - West Marion can't hold off Salem
September 28, 2023: Foxworth, MS 39483 In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Salem Wildcats volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the West Marion Trojans.
The Wildcats (15-9) will now prepare for their battle against Brookhaven (Brookhaven, MS). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 7-13 record. In their last battle, Brookhaven was edged by South Jones (Ellisville, MS), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Trojans encounter the East Marion Eagles (Columbia, MS) in a non-league battle, on Monday, October 2. West Marion will attempt to advance on its 17-6 season record. The Eagles come into the battle with a 19-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Lawrence County (Monticello, MS).
