September 28, 2024: Ashland, PA 17921 North Schuylkill Spartans (Ashland, PA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Minersville Battlin' Miners (Minersville, PA), 3-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, North Schuylkill moves its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Lehighton (Lehighton, PA) to clash with the Indians in a non-league test on Monday, September 30. The Indians come into the test with a record of 5-7. Lehighton lost 6-1 in their recent league test against Southern Lehigh (Center Valley, PA)
The Battlin' Miners now sport a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Weatherly for a non-league test on Monday, September 30. Minersville will clash with a team coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Marian Catholic (Tamaqua, PA). The record now stands at 2-9.
