North Carolina High School Soccer - West Stanly held off by Central Academy
September 29, 2022: Monroe, NC 28112 The crowd at Thursday's league test between the Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC) and the visiting West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC), saw Central Academy's soccer squad get by West Stanly by a margin of 1-0.
The Cougars now sport a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Monroe for a Rocky River 2A/3A test on Monday, October 3. Central Academy will meet a Redhawks squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Redhawks record now stands at 6-5.
With the loss, West Stanly drops to 7-5 on the season. The Colts host Parkwood (Monroe, NC) to meet the Wolf Pack in a Rocky River 2A/3A test on Monday, October 3. The Wolf Pack come into the test with a record of 1-8. Parkwood lost 5-1 in their recent league test against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC)
