September 29, 2022: Upper Glade, WV 26206 Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Webster County Highlanders (Upper Glade, WV), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Grizzlies confront the Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV) in a Coalfield AA challenge, on Tuesday, October 4. Nicholas County will attempt to move on its 8-4 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV).
The Highlanders now possess a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they host Preston for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 3. Webster County will confront a Knights team coming off a 7-0 league loss to Grafton (Grafton, WV). The Knights record now stands at 3-11.
