North Carolina High School Football - Ashe County tipped by Alexander Central
September 29, 2023: Taylorsville, NC 28681 The Ashe County Huskies football team (West Jefferson, NC), was tipped 41-35 in Friday's league challenge with the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC)
The Cougars (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers come into the Northwestern 3A/4A challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Watauga nipped South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 49-7, in a league challenge.
The Huskies now sport a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Hibriten for a Northwestern 3A/4A outing on Friday, October 6. Ashe County will encounter a Panthers team coming off a 35-33 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 3-3.
