The Highland Tech Rams football team (Gastonia, NC), was ripped 72-0 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC)

The Golden Lions (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC). The Yellow Jackets come into the 1A/2A Southern Piedmont challenge with a 4-3 record.

The Rams now sport a 0-7 record. They take the field next when they host Cherryville for a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont challenge on Friday, October 6. Highland Tech will meet a Ironmen team coming off a 62-14 league loss to East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Ironmen record now stands at 0-6.
