The Pottsboro Cardinals thwarted the host Mineola Yellowjackets football team by a count of 55-40 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Pottsboro upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Cardinals host Bonham (Bonham, TX) to confront the Warriors in a 3A-1 Region II District 5 outing on Friday, October 6. The Warriors go into the outing with a record of 1-5. Bonham lost 59-22 in their recent league outing against Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, TX)

With the loss, Mineola moves to 2-4 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Bonham (Bonham, TX) to confront the Warriors in a 3A-1 Region II District 5 outing on Friday, October 13. The Warriors go into the outing with a record of 1-5.
