The Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) football edged the visiting Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA), 28-21 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Warriors face the Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern bout, on Friday, October 6. Nansemond River will attempt to advance on its 4-1 season record. The Hawks enter the bout with a 1-4 record after their 30-14 league loss to Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA).
