Texas High School Volleyball - Hemphill edged by Newton
September 29, 2023: Hemphill, TX 75948 The Newton Eagles held off the host Hemphill Hornets volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles now have a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Heights for a 3A Region III District 21 test on Friday, October 6.
The Hornets (5-10) will now prepare for their test against Woodville (Woodville, TX). The Eagles enter the 3A Region III District 21 test with a 6-14 record. In their last test, Woodville was nudged by Huntington (Huntington, TX), 3-1, in a league test.
