September 22, 2023: Newton, TX 75966 The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Huntington Red Devils (Huntington, TX) and the host Newton Eagles (Newton, TX), saw Huntington's volleyball squad beat Newton by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Huntington upgrades its record to 15-18 on the year. The Red Devils host Hemphill (Hemphill, TX) to play the Hornets in a 3A Region III District 21 bout on Tuesday, September 26. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Hemphill lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Central Heights (Nacogdoches, TX)
The Eagles now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Hemphill for a 3A Region III District 21 bout on Friday, September 29.
