September 29, 2025: Columbia, AL 36319 Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Houston County Lions (Columbia, AL) and the visiting Abbeville Yellowjackets (Abbeville, AL), observed Houston County's volleyball team top Abbeville by a count of 3-0.
The Lions (9-2) will now prepare for their contest against Wicksburg (Newton, AL). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 7-12 record. In their last contest, Wicksburg was knocked off by Wakulla (Crawfordville, FL), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Yellowjackets battle the Barbour County Jaguars (Clayton, AL) in a 2A Area 4 battle, on Thursday, October 2. Abbeville will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Jaguars go into the battle with a 0-8 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Zion Chapel (Jack, AL).
