Fans at Monday's league contest between the Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers (Springfield, MA) and the host Central Golden Eagles (Springfield, MA), observed Putnam Vo-Tech's volleyball team hold off Central by a count of 3-2.

The Beavers (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Easthampton/Hampshire (Easthampton, MA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Easthampton/Hampshire got by Ludlow (Ludlow, MA), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Golden Eagles encounter the West Springfield Terriers (West Springfield, MA) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, October 1.
