Virginia High School Volleyball - Denbigh overwhelmed by Nansemond River
September 29, 2025: Newport News, VA 23608 Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) followers left the game satisfied Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Denbigh Patriots (Newport News, VA), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Nansemond River advances its record to 3-6 on the season. The Warriors travel to Hickory (Chesapeake, VA) to face the Hawks in a Southeastern test on Tuesday, September 30. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 8-7. Hickory won 3-0 in their recent league test against Lakeland (Suffolk, VA)
The Patriots now sport a 1-10 record. They play next when they host Bethel for a Peninsula challenge on Tuesday, September 30. Denbigh will play a Bruins team coming off a 3-0 league win over Warwick (Newport News, VA). The Bruins record now stands at 6-3.
