The Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes topped the host Lamar Consolidated Mustangs volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Friday's league test.

The Hurricanes now have a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fulshear for a 5A Region III District 24 test on Tuesday, September 7. Fort Bend Hightower will confront a Chargers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Fort Bend Kempner (Sugar Land, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 19-12.

The Mustangs (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Heights (Houston, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league test with a 15-7 record. In their last test, Heights gained a win over St. Pius X (Houston, TX), 3-0, in a non-league test.
